Munro Canteen Inc
The Cop Shop (formally known as The Munro Canteen) is a well-known part of the New Zealand Police and The Royal New Zealand Police College campus life. We have been selling great quality products to police staff across the country for over 30 years at below normal retail prices. With our online shop we are able to offer these same quality products and great prices to everyone, both nationwide and even worldwide where required.
Our staff
We are proud of the friendly, reliable service our staff provide. Lesley Palmer (Shop Manager) and Carolyn Griffiths are the friendly faces behind the counter and the voices on the phone. They welcome your calls about products we stock and queries about products you would like us to source for you.
Our location
If you’re on a course or visiting at the Royal New Zealand Police College in Papakowhai, Porirua, come and see us! We are located in the Amenities block, just follow the signs. (All visitors must sign in at reception first on your arrival) Alternatively we operate a satellite shop out of the New Zealand Police Museum, also on the campus which is open to the public most days.
Tactical Gear
We stock a large number of tactical gear for staff including torches, gloves, pouches, handcuff keys to name a few. We are continually increasing our stock of tactical gear so please contact us if there is something you would like us to consider stocking.
Identification Wallets
We stock 2 types of NZ Police Identification wallets. A 2-fold and 3-fold style. These are crafted in soft quality leather with a cast metal high quality NZ Police badge embeded. We are able to supply all ranks.
Boots, shoes, sports gear and clothing
We stock a wide range of sports gear and uniform boots and shoes. Items available include everything from running shoes and swimwear to jackets and sports bags. Our range of compression clothing is very popular.
Police souvenirs
We also stock a variety of Police souvenirs, with firm favourites being our cuddly stuffed police dog puppys, teddy bears and die-cast model police cars. We also stock plaques and batons (carved) for presentations.
International Orders
We are currently in the process of arranging the site to enable our international customers to purchase online here. In the mean time, if there is anything you would like to purchase and ship internationally please contact us directly via our email address so that we can make those arrangements for you.
